About the AirScout™
Always On Time
Airboat Afrika’s regular tours run according to a schedule. Once you’re booked and confirmed (do this right here right now) we’ll be ready for you on time. In order to make the most of it, plan to be at the launch about 15 minutes ahead of your slot. That’s how you make sure you get to enjoy a maximum of your time on board.
Built for Africa
The AirScout™ takes 6 passengers with a crew of 2. It’s capable of 95 km/h top speed with plenty of low-end torque for running dry ground, grass, sandbanks, floating debris, logs or river banks. The marine grade all aluminium hull is aircraft riveted, fully decked and filled with rigid foam for buoyancy. Built Africa-tuff for safaris, bird watching, fishing, a day out with friends and lots of awesome fun!
Child Friendly
Airboat rides are wild and exciting. It’s fast, it moves, it can be rough or smooth – and safety is always first. The youngest guest was 2 ½ years old, the whole family invited along by her grandmother of 84!
Because it’s such an amazing physical experience, it’s also great fun for persons who are hearing, sight or movement impaired.
Community Support
Local is lekker! In our Harties community we support the NSRI Station 25, and sponsor annual events such as Africa Pageants and the MDSA pageant. Our Clean the Crocodile Campaign is ongoing, and when hurricanes hit the Indian Ocean coast, we travel to Mozambique and Malawi as a rapid response unit to provide flood relief.
